Lessons of Leadership

“He can’t do it on his own, he’s gonna need my help.”

“I think I’ll just do it for her.”

How many times have we tried to make things easier for our kids by just doing it for them.

It only makes it harder.

This past Thursday two of our Jewish teen leaders ran a terrific event.

There was hot pizza. Pie in the face game. Two truths and a lie. Raffles.

And they did that all on their own.

Did they mess up a few times? Could it have had a little more glitz and glamour?

Perhaps.

But then it wouldn’t be their event.

They owned it. They rocked it!

And today they’re one giant step closer to being that great Jewish leader that our community needs.
